“Celebrate Recovery,” a Christian recovery program, meets from 7 to 9 p.m., Mondays, at Mendham Hills Community Church on Route 24, Mendham. The program offers a safe environment to find healing for grief, divorce, substance abuse, co-dependency, childhood trauma, financial insecurity and more, a statement said.  Dinner is served at 6 p.m. for a minimal cost. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, will be the topic at 7 p.m. at the Mendham Borough Library, 10 Hilltop Road, Mendham Township. The speaker will be Katherine Woodfield Hermes, author of “Don’t Buy that Health Insurance: Become an Educated Health Care Consumer.”  She will discuss the policies and changes to healthcare and Medicare that have resulted from Obamacare.  She also will outline who will qualify for health insurance subsidies.  To register for programs, call (973) 543-4152.

A knitting workshop is planned for 10 a.m. and again on Thursday, Jan. 30, At the Mendham Borough Library. 10 Hilltop Road, Mendham. Breakfast with unlimited portions will be served from 7:30 a.m. to noon at Bernay’s Apgar American Legion Post 342, 333 Route 24 East, Chester.
